Lottery for 2018 Cherry Blossom Run Opens Dec 1!

Lottery Registration: http://www.cherryblossom.org/generalinfo/entryinfo.php

Each year in April, the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run in Washington, D.C. brings together credit unions from across the country with the shared vision of fundraising and helping children. The proceeds from this event support the 170 Children’s Hospitals that belong to the Children’s Miracle Network.
On April 8, 2018, the FRB FCU will once again support this important cause. In 2017, the FRB FCU had ten volunteers and  approximately 75 runners participate in the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run. If you love to run, or you just want to support this important cause, be sure to join us in April for the Cherry Blossom Run.

Entry Information & Lottery Details:

The 2018 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and 5K Run-Walk will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Registration will be conducted by lottery.

The Entry Fees: $45 (Ten Mile) and $35 (5K Run-walk)

All of our runners need to enter the lottery system. Entrants will be able to register for the lottery over an 11-day period between Friday December 1, 2017 and 11:59 P.M. on Monday, December 11, 2017. Entrants will be electronically selected for the Ten Mile Run and 5K Run-Walk after the lottery registration period closes. The names of everyone who entered the lottery – with notification of whether they were accepted into the race or not – will be posted on the event website by 10 A.M. on Thursday, December 14. If you are selected, please let us know so that we can make sure that you are included as a member of one of our running teams. If you do NOT make it through the lottery, email marketing@frbfcu.org with your running time. This year, we have limited guaranteed entries to enable you to register for the race. Do it sooner rather later!

Not a Runner? Make a Difference ….Volunteer

More than 700 credit union volunteers are needed on race day to ensure the smooth flow of the race. Our volunteers have helped at the start line, package pick-up area, and finish line. If you cannot run, please consider donating a little time for such a worthwhile cause.
